Kirkland Home Remodel
May 9, 2019
Partial first floor remodel (full kitchen remodel, plus updates throughout the main level)
Greenwood Village, Colorado
KD Projcet Design
Originally built in the eighties, Seema and her family had been slowly remodeling their home, one project at a time. They planned to tackle the kitchen next, but were unhappy with their contractor and wanted to find a new company to manage the project. Their architect suggested Pro.com based on her positive experience working with our Denver city manager, Tyler Jones.
The goal: Remodel the home’s closed-off kitchen into an open concept floor plan. In collaboration with the architect, we planned to remove the wall between the kitchen and family rooms, then reorient the kitchen layout, so the two rooms feel more connected.
FROM THE CLIENT
The finished space turned out beautifully, and our client was thrilled too:
“We have done several remodels over the years. Some okay experiences and some bad. However, our most recent one was done with Pro.com and we had an exceptional experience.
I was skeptical at first given our past experiences with contractors but they certainly proved that they do things differently. From the bid to the follow-up and to the actual construction, I can't say enough good things. Nothing is perfect in a renovation project, so as long you know that going in and understand the process you will be satisfied.
We were told the project would take four months, and it took four months. We were given a bid, and it did not go over budget. Our project manager and his team were always available and communicated well the entire length of the project. If we weren't happy in the slightest, they made it right. I highly recommend this company. They seem to have the right professionals in place to get projects completed on time, at a high quality and on budget.”
FRIM THE PRO.COM CREW...
"This remodel provided a few unique building challenges. When the project began, we found that the previous contractor neglected to install a critical 14″ x 30′ structural beam. We had to put up a new beam without damaging the existing space. Once the room was structurally sound, we removed the kitchen walls and framed the wood floors throughout the space.
Our crews equipped the kitchen area with new electrical wiring and plumbing. Then we added new floors throughout the main level, plus matching built-in cabinetry in the kitchen, mudroom, and office. "
